Team Training Workshop
Requirements:
1. Obedience Class (within the past 6 months from the workshop dates) Class does not have to be completed prior to the beginning of the workshop.
In order to be eligible for Team Training Workshop, a dog should be mature and have a stable, friendly temperament; dogs that show any type of aggression will not be allowed into the class. The Team Training Workshop is open only to dogs that have completed Obedience Class (preferably at Dog Woods), or the equivalent
elsewhere, within the past six months before the start of a Team Training Workshop. (must provide
registrar with information)
2. AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certification --- test does not have to be completed prior to the beginning of the workshop.Dogs must also have earned their AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Certification (must provide a copy to
the registrar) before they can be placed on the waiting list. Mid South Therapy Dogs & Friends (MSTD)
offers the CGC. Please contact us if you are interested in scheduling testing.

Team Training Workshop
The Team Training Workshop combines lecture, discussion and role playing and an onsite visit with a registered therapy team. It covers the fundamental information needed to succeed as a Therapy Team. Learn the skills needed to visit safely with your animal in hospitals, nursing homes, schools, treatment centers and more. Through the lecture, group discussion and role playing, you will discover how to interact effectively with clients and keep your animal safe in all visiting situations. You will be able to witness the joy that a real volunteer visit from a therapy animal brings to clients of all ages. The workshop is taught by experienced, licensed Delta Society Instructors and Evaluators.

The goal of our workshop is:
- To have you leave with the basic skills you need to visit successfully in various settings.
- To know what is needed for you and your animal to pass the Team Evaluation (PPSAT - Pet Partners Skills and Aptitude Test)

Fee: $200 (includes training and an evaluation)
Manual: $40 NO LONGER AVAILABLE AFTER DECEMBER 31, 2011 -/NEW MANUAL WILL BE AVAILABLE LATER
Additional Handler/same dog course fee is $150.
