Readiness Screening
Team Training Workshop registrants are required to attend a readiness screening with their dog in order to be admitted to the workshop (screening may be waived at the discretion of the instructor). Registrants will be given an appointment time and feedback will be shared at the time of screening.
Use this checklist as a tool to assess your animal’s readiness to become an animal-assisted therapy team. These behaviors will be tested during the official evaluation. This checklist will help you determine if you and your animal have the skills and aptitude to become a therapy team.
All behaviors in the Skill requirements section are mandatory (i.e., your animal must be able to pass these tests.).
